Have used champion for years, over a decade at this point. It appears they're no longer offering me 6/18/30 month plans, only year long plans. This wasn't the case until I found myself stuck in summer renewal this year, and I feel I'm being forced to continue to renew when rates are the highest now that they have me here. I will likely be breaking my contract later this year to get out of this predictament. Champion used to be a fairly solid provider, but their rates are now among the highest you can find. Never have a significant issue with the service, but I can't justify these prices if I'm not even allowed to get myself back on a better cycle. Edit: haha, after they responded with "sometimes we offer other plans if it's a good time" - I checked power to choose in October, and hey look they have an 8 month plan that wasn't there before! Guess when that plan expires? Oops it's at the start of summer. It's extremely transparent. I bet in two months there will be a 6 month plan too :)
The support group was very helpful. However, I still couldn't log in to the portal, and the most recent bill still went to my late wife's email address.
DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY! Their prices are way too high! I should not be paying close to $200 for a one bedroom apartment. I renewed with them because they lowered their rate but come to find out the delivery charges increased and even with the temperature decreasing, as well as me conserving more energy,. It doesn’t matter, they’re still over charging me!

I was a just energy customer for some years but decided it was time to make a change. A friend recommended champion to me so I went with them. So far so good!
I have had Champion for 9 years and “someone authorized to end my contract,” but they can see it wasn’t me; however, they never contacted ME, via email or mail, to say anything, so now I have to sit in the dark on a wish and a prayer that they’ll turn my lights back on before 11:59pm. I just cannot believe it.

Stay away from this company, their autopsy system is less than auto, their customer service is unprofessional and lacking the basics of customer satisfaction. There are too many options for other electrical companies, choose someone else.

Simply outstanding. I have used for approximately 13 years. My rates are excellent and rarely change despite my needing new windows and doors on the entire north side of my house. The house is roughly 2400 sf , there are two of us here and my bill is about $150 per month. Their customer service couldn’t be any better, honestly.
You as a company should do better...I've had this company for a couple of years and sucks I gotta wait for contact to end so I can terminate services!!!....my bill was $750!!!!! I live in north Texas where it's COLD...what am I supposed to do let my kids freeze to death or get sick??? Last week was -2°...this is absolutely 🤬🤬 RIDICULOUS!!!

I frequently use Champion Energy when one of our rental properties is vacant and we need power. I use monthly plans with no termination fees. Champion has never let me down.

Just got my electric bill and it doubled in one month. We watch how we use our appliances so don’t tell me it increased that much due to the cold weather. I recently referred someone but no more. What a surprise to a senior household! Never in my life had such an electric bill. Shame on you! I’ll move my services as soon as I can. And don’t give me a response as what I should have done as this household did!
I have been a long-time customer because my bills used to be very reasonable, and I am extremely disappointed with the company's current direction. My bills for my two-bedroom two, two-bathroom apartment started out at $150 and slowly began to rise to almost $300. My final bill for not even all of January is $363.02 and was projected to be $427.71! It is completely outrageous and not reflective of a company that prides itself on having reasonable rates. I can no longer recommend this company.

Champion is the right name for this company. They help you get it right. Friendly, helpful. It would be nice if we could get better rates. The overall market is tuff right now, but I believe this Company is doing its best!
I was unfortunately a victim of fraud and was forced to close my original checking account and then open a new one. I ended up missing Champion energy when I was trying to update all of my auto pay. I spoke to Martina(she is the best) and she helped me to fix the issue and to set up future payments. Martina was wonderfully helpful and able to help me get caught up on payments. She was very understanding and was willing to work with me! Thank you Ms Martina, you are the best.
Just changed over, I’ll let you know what I find out in the future, too early to tell me, we’ll it’s been a while and I’m disappointed in the buy back solar policy, can’t apply all of the solar power to my bill , thus my bill is still high and with the cost of the solar panels added to the bill it more than doubled. You must ask is solar panels a government scam?, I think so, be advised if you are interested in buying solar
Never felt so good about an energy company, the best part is they love their seniors and prove it with 'senior' energy plans that are prefect for my retirement income budget.
I pay over 150 for electricity here. I have a one bedroom, no kids, and two jobs ( so to state the obvious i am hardly home) DO NOT GET ELECTRICITY THROUGH THEM. Let this be your warning, this is robbery at this point
It was an OK experience, but the price of electricity is so sky high for absolutely no reason that it certainly is not a great experience to renew or look for an electric company.

I used Champion Energy for 10 years. Switched providers last week after an upcoming rate increase and finding a better plan elsewhere. I notified them of the switch in advance, as a courtesy. Power was disconnected at 8am, so I went 24h without power until new provider took over. Maybe that is a normal transition but Im not sure why couldnt have disconnected at midnight as requested. No other major issues with their services.
It's contract renewal time and my CSR (Riah) was absolutely amazing!!! She was very thorough and patient with me and explained my options clearly. By far the best experience I have had with Champion Energy.

I just renewed after 2 years with this company on a plan that made it affordable for seniors. Not much is affordable these days. This company is! My lowest bill was under 60 and during the heat wave of 2023 my highest bill was under 200 while everyone else was paying upwards of 500 or more. I renewed at even a lower rate this time around. They are definitely a company worth checking out!!

Entities with renewable energy options exceeding the state average of 31.1% receive a 3-star rating, while those offering less than 31.1% renewable options are rated with 2 stars. Lastly, a 1-star rating is assigned to those with no renewable energy options, indicating a lack of commitment to sustainable energy practices.
PUC Rating:
The Public Utility Commission publishes a rating for each provider based on the number of formal complaints filed against the provider in comparison to how many customers they have.
For example, a provider with 10 formal complaints out of 10,000 customers would have a 1-star rating whereas a provider with 10 complaints and 1,000,000 customers would have a 5-star rating.
