The name says it all! OnPoint has been “On Point” since I signed up. I switched almost 6 months ago from a well known and large competitor in the Houston area and am saving between $50-75 per month on average with this company based on kwh usage. Service has been super smooth from day 1 and they’ve responded quickly to the couple inquiries I’ve had. Online portal is easy to use to make payments as well. I’d strongly recommend them to anyone looking for fast, reliable and affordable electricity service.

I signed up with Onpoint recently and everything has been great so far. I was getting charged 17 cents from my other provider and this company helped cut my bill in almost half. I was dreading taking care of this but they made the process pretty seamless and straight forward. I am here to tell anyone who has no idea where to start with switching that they dont have to look any further than here!

Excellent Customer Service! I encountered a problem while attempting to make an online payment. Unfortunately, the call center couldn't offer immediate help. However, I decided to reach out to their customer service via email, and to my surprise, I received a prompt call back from their main office within minutes. If you’re not using OnPoint, you’re just wrong!!!!!! I truly can’t say enough about this amazing new company. Since switching to OnPoint I have had nothing but a pleasant and EASY experience. From their personalized customer service (Marguerite is awesome to work with) to setting up auto pay for my account, everything has been a seamless and EASY process. In this high paced world we live in, life is so busy and hectic, and to have a utility provider that I trust and makes my experience EASY is such a breath of fresh air. Im there to stay!
If you’re thinking about trying to choose this electricity company, I’m just gonna let you know ***STOP AND DONT EVER CHOOSE THIS ONE!***** Let me give you a few reasons why you shouldn’t move forward as being a customer with them. They disconnected my service without even giving me a disconnection notice. and you can’t even see a PDF file for a bill on the website when I login. this company are crooks and they don’t give you a payment plan until you’re with them for a year. My advice is to look elsewhere before you get screwed over. And You’re Welcome!!!!!!!!

For example, Provider A has the 3rd lowest-priced plan, while Provider B has the 45th lowest-priced plan out of 46 providers who submitted plans to PUC. Provider A will have a rating of 5, while Provider B will have a rating of 1.
Customer Service:
We scrape online reviews from Google, Yelp, BBB, and Trust Pilot to determine what customers are saying about the provider. The rating reflects the aggregate of all online reviews.
Renewable Options:
The rating system is based on the availability of renewable energy options. A 5-star rating is awarded to entities that offer a fully renewable option, signifying 100% renewable energy usage. A 4-star rating is given to those that provide a mix of energy sources, with more than 50% coming from renewable sources. Entities with renewable energy options exceeding the state average of 31.1% receive a 3-star rating, while those offering less than 31.1% renewable options are rated with 2 stars. Lastly, a 1-star rating is assigned to those with no renewable energy options, indicating a lack of commitment to sustainable energy practices.
PUC Rating:
The Public Utility Commission publishes a rating for each provider based on the number of formal complaints filed against the provider in comparison to how many customers they have.
For example, a provider with 10 formal complaints out of 10,000 customers would have a 1-star rating whereas a provider with 10 complaints and 1,000,000 customers would have a 5-star rating.
