This is a scam company. The representative at the door lied through his teeth. They'll tell you you're going to 7% of your current utility bill. Then, he said I had to sign a paper to get approved. THE PAPER WAS A CONTRACT, NOT A APPOVAL! My rate has jumped 20% already. They will never tell you on the phone what your next rate it going to be. It could jump up 300-400%. My electric company said July 1st they're lowering everyone's rate 40% .But,I don't have them anymore even though the representative said I would always have them and would save another 7%. Stay away from these liars and fraudulent company. The should be investigating them for fraud. These other reviews are probably people working for them. Why do I say that? Because they're liars.
They said I could get 25 dollars in rewards if I rated them. Here it is.
They scammed me
If I could rate a 0, I would. They are charging a rate of 26.99 cents/kw when Ameren only charges 7.87 cents currently. Make sure if you sign up for a 12 month rate with Clearview you switch immediately and pay attention to when your 12 months is over. Otherwise, you will get charged an unkowingly outrageous amount. Biggest scam of a supplier. I would never recommend this supplier to any customer. The fact that this company is ok with charging people this outrageous amount during such tough times speaks volumes.

I just started with Clearview Energy. So far so good
Maria Lara was a godsend helping me enroll with my new energy supplier. I had some difficulty and she was VERY patient helping me with the enrollment. Also, I am hard of hearing and she spoke very clearing and slowly allowing me to understanding everything. When there was some confusion on my part with my supplier account number, she helped me figure out my error and was kind enough to follow up with me when my enrollment was complete. I wish all online customer service representative were like Maria as it would make life so much easier. Maria should be an example for all your customer service reps.
So far so good I have no idea 1st time on here I'll be optimistic and I will be back with a more accurate update

Don't do it - I did and it cost me several hundred dollars to cancel my acct. when I found it was not what I thought it was and I even cancelled within the alloted time frame.
Will refuse to cancel their service, they are scammers and a fraudulent company do not sign anything or give them your information and if you think you mightve been scammed by them call your electric company and cancel Absolutely ridiculous
Great customer service, my customer service rep Alondra was able to answer all of my questions and provide helpful tips on how to sign up for charge point to charge my electric car. She went above and beyond, far better than any other electricity service provider I’ve reached out to for new service.

Your sales agents are pushy and rude. I received a callback from “Brittany” this evening, and I told her I wasn’t interested in this supplier. She hung up on me. People who try to force me over the phone to buy into something helps me to decide to steer clear of what they are trying to sale me. I don’t recommend THIS company.
They came to us as a provider and we went with them because it’s not too bad of a deal. I do hope to take advantage of their rewards soon, seems promising.

I was unsure when I first signed up but I decided that I would give it a month and see how it goes. So far so good. My bill hasn’t really changed, I mean the usual because it’s gotten colder outside. In the 3 months I’ve been with them they have given me rewards every month and a $10 Amazon gift card. So overall, I’m happy.

This company has horrible business practices! I was due to renew in November of 2023, and I forgot to reach out to them because my dog got sick and ended up passing away. In that short time, they increased my rate from my contracted price of 10.79 to 23.99%! Like what?! That's more than 100% rate increase in one month! Sickening! How are these practices not governed by someone? I used less electric this January than last January, and my bill is $391! Needless to say I canceled with them immediately. While canceling, the rep on the phone said, "we can offer you a discounted rate moving forward." I responded that I will never do business with a company that rips off their customers that way. Trying to save money because of medical bills for my rescues, and then something like this happens that makes me end up paying more than if I would have just stayed with PPL. Stay away from this company!
If I could give a negative Star I would... Please be aware that this company will price gouge you as soon as your year contract is up with them if you do not change companies or negotiate with them prior to the end of the contract. My electric went roughly from .10 per KWH to .23 per KWH and my local provider was at .11 per KWH. They can't explain why they price gouged me and would not give me a refund. I'm all about making a profit, but doing it like this was unethical in my opinion. I filed a better business bureau report on them today. Be aware...

I recently became a customer of Clearview Energy a couple of months ago. I've been paying my electric bill right away and never missed a payment for over 20 years. So, you can imagine my surprise when I received a cancellation notice from Clearview Energy today stating that I haven't made a payment. I can clearly see Clearview Energy listed on my electric invoice. I gave them a call, and they told me to contact my Electric Company. I reached out to them, and they confirmed that my account is paid in full, and everything is fine on their end. So, what's the deal here?

Plans and Rates:
We review all available plans from every licensed energy provider. Then we rank the lowest available rate from each provider. Providers then receive a rating based on what percentile their lowest plan ranks.
For example, Provider A has the 3rd lowest-priced plan, while Provider B has the 45th lowest-priced plan out of 46 providers who submitted plans to PUC. Provider A will have a rating of 5, while Provider B will have a rating of 1.
Customer Service:
We scrape online reviews from Google, Yelp, BBB, and Trust Pilot to determine what customers are saying about the provider. The rating reflects the aggregate of all online reviews.
Renewable Options:
The rating system is based on the availability of renewable energy options. A 5-star rating is awarded to entities that offer a fully renewable option, signifying 100% renewable energy usage. A 4-star rating is given to those that provide a mix of energy sources, with more than 50% coming from renewable sources. Entities with renewable energy options exceeding the state average of 31.1% receive a 3-star rating, while those offering less than 31.1% renewable options are rated with 2 stars. Lastly, a 1-star rating is assigned to those with no renewable energy options, indicating a lack of commitment to sustainable energy practices.
PUC Rating:
The Public Utility Commission publishes a rating for each provider based on the number of formal complaints filed against the provider in comparison to how many customers they have.
For example, a provider with 10 formal complaints out of 10,000 customers would have a 1-star rating whereas a provider with 10 complaints and 1,000,000 customers would have a 5-star rating.
